About Sea Glass
What is sea glass and how do we use it to create our greetings cards and gifts
Sea Glass is physically and chemically weathered glass found on beaches along bodies of salt water. Sea Glass takes 20 - 40 years, and sometimes as much as 100 years to acquire it's characteristic frosted texture and shape.
Sea Pottery and Beach Pebbles form the same way, as they are tumbled and smoothed by water and sand.
What was once simply ordinary glass and pottery has been transformed by nature into a small treasure from the sea.
I carefully collect these little treasures from the shore and turn them into handmade cards and gifts, each one built around a unique piece of sea glass, pottery or pebble. No two pieces are ever the same.
